The Blue Jays have signed Tommy Milone to a minor league contract, with an invite to spring training. There will be a few of these over the next couple of weeks.
Milone is a 34-year-old left-handed pitcher. He’s been in the major for ten seasons, mostly as a starter. He’s 51-51 with a 4.56 ERA in 183 games, 145 starts. He split last year between the Orioles and Braves making 9 starts with a 6.69 ERA.
He seems like the perfect type for the taxi squad, but if we see him on the mound much something’s gone very wrong.
This is great. The discipline room interests me, but they want to be inclusive of all lifestyles I guess. Actually looks more like a ‘video room’, looks like the coaches and players can sit together and go over stuff.
It is a huge improvement over what they had before. We should thank the taxpayers in Florida.
A state-of-the-art facility unlike any other.
