The 2021 Blue Jays ZiPS projections are out. Over the next few weeks, we’ll put up a series of over/under polls, using the batter’s OPS and the pitcher’s ERA as predicted by ZiPS.
Today we’ll look at George Springer. ZiPS figures Springer to have an OPS of .845 (this is as an Astro, I don know if there would be a change with him moving to Toronto, but then I doubt they have park factors for Dunedin). They also have him hitting 28 home runs, scoring 96, driving in 90, suggesting he’d be batting at the top of the order. In 2020 he had an OPS of .099 and in 2019 it was .974.
Let us know if you think he’ll have a higher or lower OPS.
