Jays 2021 ZiPS Over/Under Poll: Nate Pearson

The 2021 Blue Jays ZiPS projections are out. Over the next few weeks, we’ll put up a series of over/under polls, using the batter’s OPS and the pitcher’s ERA as predicted by ZiPS.

Today we have Nate Pearson. ZiPS predicts Nate will have a 4.00 ERA this season. Curiously they have making 24 starts and 99 innings, which would be about 4 innings a start. If he can’t do better than 4 innings a start, I’d rather he pitch out of the pen. It will be interesting to watch how they deal with his innings. He threw 18 last year and 101 in 2019. How many innings will the Jays be letting him throw this year?

Let us know if you think he’ll have a higher or lower OPS.

Poll

Will Nate Pearson have an ERA over or under 4.00?
