So we are learning more about the opening day roster. Shi Davidi tells us that the team has told Alejandro Kirk, Trent Thornton, Tim Mayza, and Rowdy Tellez that they have made the team.
I would imagine that Reese won’t be. Glad to see they are taking Kirk, and not giving some excuse while they worry about his service clock. It is a good sign they are going for the best roster instead. Of course, if they end up taking three catchers, I’ll be less than pleased. I guess it would be possible to do that for a few days and then try to get Reese through waivers, but I don’t see the point.
And, depending on the number of lefties they want to carry, I’d think that there is less chance Francisco Liriano will make it. Thornton will be a long man in the pen. Who starts in Ray’s spot is still an open question.
Tellez has had a rough spring, but he’s earned the spot from what he did last year. He’ll figure it out soon enough.
And there's this:
The final spot in the #BlueJays bullpen appears to be down to Julian Merryweather, Francisco Liriano and Anthony Castro. Merryweather is scheduled to pitch tomorrow, how he bounces back from that outing could be the deciding factor.

I will revolt if Liriano gets in over Merryweather. Castro? I’d still take Merryweather.
Shi also tells us that Ryan Borucki and Rafael Dolis have been battling some nagging ailments, Dolis back spasms and Borucki hamstring. Borucki looked good today.
