This is not a repost....
The Blue Jays claimed Joel Payamps off waivers from the Red Sox. Yeah, they did that back on February 10th. And then, on February 22 the Red Sox claimed him from the Blue Jays. Anyone want to guess the date that the Red Sox claim him back again?
Last time I borrowed this description from Az Snake Pit:
Sometimes described as wiry and lanky, standing at 6’2” and 200 lbs, Payamps throws a Fastball, Sinker, Slider and Change. If used as a reliever, he’ll mostly use the 4 Seamer and slider. His 4 Seamer averages 93 MPH, maxing out at 96. He may be able to add a little to that velocity working strictly as a reliever. His command has been inconsistent, but when he has it, he strikes out a lot of batters and can dominate.
He still turns 27 in April.
Waguespack pitched in 16 games, 13 starts in 2019, with a 4.38 ERA. Last year he made 11 relief appearances and was hit hard, 8.15 ERA. Batters hit .346/.422/.474 against him. He made 2 appearances this spring and was hit hard again. In 1.1 he allowed 5 hits, 4 earned, 2 homers and 1 walk.
Today’s game was a 7-1 win over the Phillies.
Tanner Roark went 2 innings, allowing a hit with a strikeout. He topped out at 90.7 mph.
Tyler Chatwood had a clean inning.
Rafael Dolis had a rough inning, 2 hits, 1 earned, 1 strikeout throwing 21 pitches getting 2 outs.
Kirby Snead threw 1.1, allowing 2 walks with a strikeout.
A.J. Cole and Tim Mayze pitched a clean inning each, Mayza had 2 strikeouts.
