In theory, the Jays are looking for the split tonight. However, the tarp is currently residing on the field and whether they can get a game in will be iffy (please don’t let any more players get hurt. We are running very low at the moment).
The rotation for the weekend has been set (which I am sure will not be affected in the slightest as to whether the game tonight is played):
Blue Jays starters vs. the Rays this weekend:
— Arden Zwelling (@ArdenZwelling) April 21, 2021
Fri. Apr. 23 — Steven Matz
Sat. Apr. 24 — Robbie Ray
Sun. Apr. 25 — Hyun Jin Ryu
Charlie is perhaps hoping a line-up shake up will awaken this offense. Biggio is batting lead off, Semien and Gurriel have been bumped down, and Palacios gets a start.

We are glad you are here and hope you feel welcome. As a reminder, we have rules. Mostly it’s “don’t be terrible,” but these days it’s also, “please debate about baseball and not the coronavirus or vaccines.” If a moderator asks you to stop doing something, please stop. If you want to discuss the rules, don’t do it in the thread. Email Tom instead. We also have a BBB Glossary full of GameThread lingo you can find here. You can Adopt-a-Jay here, and here’s a helpful tutorial on how to post images in the comments.
