Friday Bantering: Three to IL

Just when you were hoping we were getting close to the end of this Covid world (I get my first shot Monday, I couldn’t be happier), Covid reminds us it is going to be here for a bit.

Teoscar Hernandez goes on the IL because of close contact with someone who has it. Hopefully he will avoid coming down with it. Also Ryan Borucki also is going on the IL with a reaction to the vaccine. I’d imagine he won’t be out long. And, in non-Covid injury news Tyler Chatwood is out with right-triceps inflammation.

If Hernandez has been exposed, how many Jays have been exposed to him? I guess that is something we will find out in the next couple of days. For Teoscar and Ryan, there is no minimum time they have to stay on the IL, Ryan will be back as soon as he is well, Teoscar, I’d imagine, as soon as they are sure he’s not positive.

Being added to the roster are Joel Payamps, Ty Tice and Josh Palacios. Palacios gets into the lineup tonight, playing RF.
