The Jays are going for the series win. It wouldn’t yield a first place in the division anymore, but would be nice to get anyway.
We have some minor injury updates:
Anthony Castro's “real close” to being activated from IL, per Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker. “Could be any day.”

Walker adds Thomas Hatch is “feeling great” as he continues building workload. Hatch got up over 3 IP in last outing; scheduled to start for Buffalo tonight.
George Springer’s not on the brink of returning to @BlueJays but his running progression is going really well, GM Ross Atkins told Brunt & @SNJeffBlair on @FAN590. Once near-full speed, live reps would be next. A rehab assignment “pretty likely at this point” per Atkins.

Here are tonight’s lineups: Biggio will play 2nd, Bichette will DH and Gurriel gets a day off.

We are glad you are here and hope you feel welcome. As a reminder, we have rules. Mostly it’s “don’t be terrible,” but these days it’s also, “please debate about baseball and not the coronavirus or vaccines.” If a moderator asks you to stop doing something, please stop. If you want to discuss the rules, don’t do it in the thread. Email Tom instead. We also have a BBB Glossary full of GameThread lingo you can find here. You can Adopt-a-Jay here, and here’s a helpful tutorial on how to post images in the comments.
