GameThread Game #46: Rays at Blue Jays

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies at Toronto Blue Jays Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

I suppose asking for a win would be too much, right? Maybe could I ask if we could lose in a less devastating way than the last couple of games? If not for me, think of the children,

We have everyone’s favorite, a starter, going today. Trent Thornton will pitch the first inning or two and then Ross Striping will go in. After that, I think it is Kate.

The team says that George Springer will be traveling with the team on the road trip following today’s game, and is ‘improving’. But there is ‘no timetable on this return and he’ll be, likely, doing a rehab assignment.

The starters for the next three days: Matz, TBA, and Ray. TBA might be a bullpen day. Or might be a callup. Or maybe they will have Kate go on short rest.

Today’s lineup:
