Jays roster move: Edwards up, Tice DFA

The Blue Jays made a roster move before today’s first game:

Carl Edwards, Jr. joins with all the other Juniors on the team. Ty Tice has been DFAed.

Edwards has pitched in 5 games for the Bisons, giving up 2 hits, 1 walk with 6 strikeouts, and no earned runs.

The team will also be adding a player for the second game. I’d imagine it will be Jeremy Beasley again.

In non-Jays news, Braves outfielder, Marcell Ozuna was arrested for choking his wife and throwing her against a wall, apparently in front of a police officer. Since the officer saw this happen, they won’t need the wife to press charges, which is the normal stumbling block. The wife gets convinced that pressing charges is the wrong thing to do and it all gets dropped.

Ozuna has been put on the restricted list.

Lineups for the first game. Vlad DHes, I’d imagine he’ll play first in the second game. Panik and McGuire play, so I’d expect Espinal and Jansen in game two.
