The Jays are looking to even things up tonight as a beautiful evening unfolds.
Springer is out again tonight. If he wasn’t able to pinch hit last night, it seems wise to keep him out tonight.
The quad issue, Montoyo says, "is not like it was before or he would be on the IL again. He's getting better. We just want to make sure he's comfortable. Again, he's day to day, he doesn't need to go on the IL right now, that's for sure."

Why not put him on IL? "Because he was able to swing the bat. The goal was that he was going to play in the outfield. Sunday he felt fatigue. Before that he was feeling good. You could see it at the plate...hitting bombs ... He didn't pull anything. He just felt it a little bit."

Here are tonight’s lineups. Semien leads off and plays SS, Bichette will get a DH day, and Biggio will start at 2nd.

Yeah, sadly.
We are glad you are here and hope you feel welcome. As a reminder, we have rules. Mostly it’s “don’t be terrible,” but these days it’s also, “please debate about baseball and not the coronavirus or vaccines.” If a moderator asks you to stop doing something, please stop. If you want to discuss the rules, don’t do it in the thread. Email Tom instead. We also have a BBB Glossary full of GameThread lingo you can find here. You can Adopt-a-Jay here, and here’s a helpful tutorial on how to post images in the comments.
