Another day where there isn’t much for Blue Jays news.
There is White Sox news:
Nick Madrigal is on the 60-day IL after his injury last night. Tear of his hamstring. It sounds like season-ending surgery is going for him. Brian Goodwin gets the call-up.
Rick Hahn says Nick Madrigal is going on the 60-day IL due to a proximal tear of his right hamstring. They’re still weighing season-ending surgery or rest and rehabilitation. He’s inactive for six weeks. Brian Goodwin called up.

Closer and closer. Or perhaps Springer is going to the back of the bullpen.
George Springer ran the bases today and felt good.

He’s “for sure closer” to starting that rehab assignment, Charlie Montoyo says... #BlueJays
And the team says that Cavan Biggio will meet the team in Boston.
Riley Adams gets the start again today, with a left-handed pitcher going for the White Sox. If he can hit some, it will be interesting to see what happens when Danny Jansen is finished his time on the IL.
The Jays need a pitcher or 5, and there are several catchers on our 40-man roster. Maybe one or two will be moved to add a pitcher at the break?
It was good to see Tyler Chatwood have a good outing last night. I hope they get him out into another as quick as possible and we can see if this is a trend.
Bo Bichette gets a half-day rest DHing. Panik plays second, Semien short, and Espinal third.
