Cavan Biggio has returned from the IL. Santiago Espinal was sent back to Buffalo to make room.
Cavan was hitting .205/.315/.315 before hitting the IL. In his three rehab games, he had 1 hit, a home run in 11 at-bats.
Espinal was hitting .247/.286/.329 in 77 PA with the games. His defense looked good, ignoring the 4 errors. I like him better as a utility guy than Panik but then Panik has been hitting well lately. He has a .286/.305/.418 line in 95 PA, but, over the last two weeks, he’s hit .412/.417/.647.
Biggio plays today, batting eighth.
