After what feels like a brutal losing streak, the Jays are looking to get back on track and in the winning column. Thankfully, there’s few better teams to accomplish this against than the Orioles.
Let’s start with some happy news:
Both Teoscar Hernández and Jonathan Davis and their wives welcomed baby boys! Yay! #BlueJays

And an actual sort of update on George Springer?:
Per #BlueJays manager Charlie Montoyo, George Springer has a scheduled day off today and then will play at least 7 innings, if not the whole game on Saturday and then team will go from there

And our favorite Captain:
Some #BlueJays notes from Charlie Montoyo:
— Scott Mitchell (@ScottyMitchTSN) June 18, 2021
-Teoscar Hernandez’s wife had a baby this morning. He could potentially be back Sunday.
-Anthony Kay is up to add some length to the pen. TJ Zeuch optioned.
-Alejandro Kirk is playing extended spring games and “doing well.”
Here are tonight’s lineups. Adams and Espinal both get starts, Biggio plays in right again and Panik will DH.

We are glad you are here and hope you feel welcome. As a reminder, we have rules. Mostly it’s “don’t be terrible,” but these days it’s also, “please debate about baseball and not the coronavirus or vaccines.” If a moderator asks you to stop doing something, please stop. If you want to discuss the rules, don’t do it in the thread. Email Tom instead. We also have a BBB Glossary full of GameThread lingo you can find here. You can Adopt-a-Jay here, and here’s a helpful tutorial on how to post images in the comments.
