Tuesday Bantering: Bits of Jays stuff

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays at Chicago White Sox Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight’s game has to be better than last night’s right? Maybe we can score some runs?

There isn’t much for Jays' news today. Ben Nicholson-Smith pointed out that Kevin Smith is doing a great job for the Bisons. Maybe he could do a great job for the Blue Jays. It isn’t like anyone has grabbed the third base job and run off with it.

Beyond that, I’d be all for calling up Nate Pearson and/or Thomas Hatch to help out the bullpen. Though I suppose they might want to keep Hatch ready to fill in a rotation spot, in case of injury. But at the moment adding a good arm, or two, to the pen would be helpful.

In injury news:

  • Springer is ‘closer’ to a rehab assignment, whatever that means.
  • Kirk is DHing in an extended spring game.
  • Biggio is playing in his third rehab game. It might not be long before he’s back.

Tonight’s lineup. No Adams today. I know they are going to go with the platoon advantage, but I’d much rather Adams play a few games in a row.
