The Jays have acquired another pitcher in 37-year-old veteran Joakim Soria from the Diamondbacks. He has a 4.30 ERA (3.74 FIP) this year with the snakes, who he signed with in the offseason on a one-year, $3.5M deal. Previously Soria has played for the Royals and the Athletics. He is a late inning reliever who has appeared in 31 games this year. He has six saves, three holds, and two blown saves. He will have a similar role to what Rafael Dolis has now for the team (although we hope much quicker).

The Jays also DFA’d Tyler Chatwood to make room for Jose Berrios.

This post will be updated when the return for Soria is announced.
