Jays claim Jarrod Dyson off waivers

Yeah, I don’t understand this one:

Robert Murray is reporting that the Blue Jays have taken Jarrod Dyson off waivers from the Royals. Dyson can play CF and he can run fast.

Dyson is hitting .221/.256/.311 this season for the Royals, with 8 steals, 3 times caught.

I guess they really didn’t want Josh Palacios as fourth (or fifth) outfielder.

I don’t know, I guess he would be good as the Manfred Man and defensive replacement. It does make it sound as if George Springer will be DHing when he comes back.
