Labour Day Bantering: Merryweather in New York

Happy Labour Day. It is too bad the labourers that need a break the most can’t have a day off. I’m sure there are nurses and doctors and other health care works who really could use a long weekend.

There is a bit of news this morning:

Julian Merryweather is in the Bronx. He won’t be activated today (he pitched yesterday), but tomorrow or Wednesday he will likely be on the roster. He would be very handy to have over the last four weeks.

Beyond that, there isn’t much for news.

This is cool though, Rob misses out the word shutout in his tweet, but you get it:

Today’s lineup. Jansen catches Ryu. Smith plays. Dickerson in CF.

It always amazes me how flipping the calendar can flip how guys play. We couldn’t hit, September starts, we can hit.
